Abstract

During the spring semester of 2020, COVID-19 disrupted the academic studies of college students across the country as classes pivoted quickly to online formats.  This study examined the impact of COVID-19 on students in an undergraduate Adolescent Development class, as well as their assessment of the strategies utilized in the online format of the class.  Although students experienced various challenges during the pandemic, their overall assessment of the Adolescent Development course was positive with all students reporting that the class had enabled them to develop a greater understanding of adolescents (100%) and that they had learned effectively through the online instruction (100%).
